Covid-19 has hit every part of the world and brings with it massive impacts to all of mankind, transcending religion and race. The effects have caused major chaos to the planet. Millions of people have lost their jobs, experienced the deaths of loved ones, gone through financial and political instability, committed or contemplated suicides, had anxiety attacks and depression, and many more.

Thus, the most comprehensive solution to this global pandemic is to redirect the soul of human beings to God and His Prophets while keeping up with the latest medical updates, the ‘new norm’, or anything else that has been practiced by everyone else.

Because of this, we are launching this campaign of House of Light so that everyone will return to the reason as to why we perform worship, and not just doing it for the sake of doing it. One of the best practices is to invite the affection of Allah SWT into your lives by consistently giving Salawat to the Prophet PBUH.

The celebrate this month, we would like to extend our invitation to all Muslims in the world to recite Salawat to the Prophet PBUH with these words:

    صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّد
    (Ya Allah! Bless Muhammad)

We believe these millions of Salawat being recited will loft away all the difficulties that have been faced recently, harmonizing the relationships between humans and awakening the Spiritual Awareness between the members of the society.

    What is House Of Light?

An initiative by the team behind House Of Light, organized by in encouraging and inculcating the practice of Salawat to the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad PBUH, thus elevating him as the best role model in all aspects of life.

How long will House of Light be held?

This campaign will be running until the day of the Prophet’s birth and that is on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal, or the 18th of October 2021.

How to be part of House of Light?

Everyone will be prompted to recite up to 1000 #dailyselawat per day while practicing as much sunnah as they can in their daily lives.

Salawat is the plural form of the word ‘salat’ that carries the definition of prayers or praises.

    As spoken by Allah SWT:

    ‎إِنَّ اللَّـهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

    al-Ahzab: 56

Meaning; Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

This illustrates the greatness of Salawat. The Prophet’s biggest deed to us is allowing us the joy of faith and Islam. We should always recite Salawat that will bring us closer to the Prophet and thus, closer to God. It is not possible for someone to have a love for Allah SWT if he himself does not allow the love of Prophet Muhammad PBUH to flow through his heart and actions. The love that the Prophet PBUH exhibits go beyond the relationship between humans, but it also covers the relationship with any living things, even the animals and plants.

If we have pure love for the Prophet PBUH, our hearts will be crushed at the sight of those with an empty stomach. If that love exists, we will not turn away from those who need our help, instead, we will extend our hands to them. If we do have affection for the Prophet PBUH, we will not turn our backs on the very people that the Prophet himself loves, and that is our own brothers and sisters.

Abdullah bin ‘Amr RA reported that the Prophet pbuh said,

    ‎فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلَاةً صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْرًا

“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah send blessings upon him ten times.” [Sahih Muslim (384)]
